    There's an official "in-universe" limit of one thousand "fighting men" per Chapter, but literally every Chapter detailed in the fluff seems to honor this restriction in name only. GW is also pretty coy in never defining the exact number of men in each Chapter, again, we have "in-universe" sources that are clearly propaganda or idealized figures.
